Week nine

I am somewhere between 0.9 to 1.2 inches by now, nearly the size of an olive. Something new is happening within me every day. I can actually feel it in my bones (hey, no pun intended!) and cartilage. I am beginning to get eyes and a small little tongue. The intestines are coming out of the umbilical cord and getting into my abdomen. That almost tickles me you know! The fingers and thumbs have appeared but are too tiny. I wish I could grow faster. This is taking a bit too long for my liking!

Are you listening mom?

My home, your uterus has become the size of a grapefruit now. I know you got some heartburn and indigestion, the other day trying to adjust to the pregnancy hormones. Your breasts are getting fuller and have become very sensitive. I know that too. Don’t tire yourself Mom, take a little rest; that makes me feel really good.

…and you dad?

Is morning sickness becoming more common than the morning tea? Cool it dad, after all you have to take the bad with the good. Mom is looking pretty, isn’t she?
