Week one |
This week begins with the last day of my mom’s menstrual period. No, I
am nowhere on the scene. But so what? I prefer to
start my story from here. You’ll say "how can you,
when you are not even there?" OK then, I’ll
dedicate this week to my Mom and call it ‘my Mom’s
week.’ Happy?

|
| Are you listening mom? |
Hey
mom, you have no idea about me yet, I know that.
But I also know both Dad and you have thought of
something like me. And very soon I’ll be there.
Our nine-month love affair is about to begin. We
have a long journey together. But before we
start, let me warn you about my likes and
dislikes.I like plenty of fruits and vegetables
and I do dislike smoking and alcohol. They’re
absolute Ugh! Tell this to Dad too. That way
we’ll be on OK terms right from the start. Oh
yes, I like exercises, not too vigorous, but
some simple ones, mmm…say … going for long
walks.

|
|
| …and you dad? |
| Well, for the time being I’ll keep my big
mouth shut. I don’t know you; you don’t know me
either. Let’s not spoil our relationship even
before it’s begun. But you know something, Dad?
Somewhere I heard that a baby is a "mom and pop
art". Hey Dad, are you planning something? I can
see it on your face. Wait – you’ll have a lot to
do, I assure
you.
